CMAC Member Engagement App

1. About These Terms

These terms of use (Terms) explain how you may use the CMAC Member Engagement App (the App), including any content, features, and services made available through it. These Terms apply between CMA Collaborative UK Limited, trading as CMAC (we, us or our) and you, the person accessing or using the App (you and your).

You should read these Terms carefully before using the App. By creating an account, downloading the App, or otherwise using it, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you should stop using the App immediately.

These Terms apply to all parts of the App, including features provided free of charge and those available only to paying members. If you purchase a membership, separate membership terms also apply.

2. About Us

We are CMA Collaborative UK Limited (trading as CMAC), a registered UK charity (Charity registration number 1214738). Our registered office is at Suite 3b, Kings House, 1 King Street, Leeds LS1 2HH.

3. Using the App

The App is for your personal and non-commercial use only. You agree that you are solely responsible for all costs and expenses you may incur in relation to your use of the App, including mobile data charges.

We make no promise that the App is appropriate or available for use in locations outside of the UK. If you choose to access the App from locations outside the UK, you acknowledge you do so at your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws where they apply.

As a condition of your use of the App, you agree not to:

  • use the App for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its operation
  • misuse the App by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, or any other material which is malicious or technologically harmful
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the App, its servers, or any connected systems
  • scrape, harvest, or extract data from the App by automated means
  • impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation

We may prevent or suspend your access to the App if you do not comply with these Terms or any applicable law.

4. Account Registration and Security

To access the App's features, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information during registration. You agree to keep your registration details up to date.

You are responsible for keeping your password and account details secure and confidential. You must not share your login credentials with any other person. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

If you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account, you must notify us immediately at office@cmac.world.

We are not obliged to permit anyone to register with the App and we may refuse, terminate, or suspend registration at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms.

5. Membership

Certain features of the App are available only to paying members. Membership subscriptions are purchased via our website and are subject to separate membership terms.

Your membership is valid for twelve months from the date of purchase. You will receive renewal reminders via the App and by email at 30 days, 14 days, and 7 days before expiry.

You have the option to enable auto-renewal, or to renew manually. If auto-renewal is enabled, your membership will renew automatically unless you switch to manual renewal. If manual renewal is selected, your membership will expire unless you actively renew it.

Refund policy: CMAC does not offer refunds on membership subscriptions.

6. Forum and User-Generated Content

The App includes a community forum where members can post, comment, and share content. You are solely responsible for any content you post.

By posting content to the forum, you grant CMAC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, reproduce, and translate that content within the App for the purpose of operating the forum and related services. This licence ends when you delete your content or your account, except where your content has been shared with others and they have not deleted it.

You must not post content that:

  • is unlawful, defamatory, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable
  • infringes anyone's intellectual property rights
  • contains identifiable patient information without proper consent
  • constitutes medical advice (the forum is for peer discussion, not clinical recommendations)
  • is spam, advertising, or promotional material not authorised by CMAC
  • violates any applicable law or regulation

We reserve the right to moderate, edit, hide, or remove any content at our discretion. We may also suspend or ban users who breach these standards.

Forum content may be automatically translated into other languages using third-party translation services. We do not guarantee the accuracy of translated content.

7. Clinical Support and Helpline

The App provides access to CMAC's clinical support services, including structured case submission and the emergency helpline. These services are available to members only.

Important: The clinical support features of the App do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. They are intended to facilitate communication between aesthetic practitioners and CMAC's support team. Clinical decisions remain the sole responsibility of the treating practitioner.

Emergency helpline calls made through the App may be recorded and transcribed for quality assurance and clinical record-keeping purposes. By using the helpline, you consent to this recording. All recordings are handled in accordance with our privacy policy and applicable data protection legislation.

8. Events and Conferences

The App provides information about CMAC events and conferences, including schedules, speaker details, and venue information. Event tickets are purchased via our website.

Refund policy: CMAC does not offer refunds on ticket purchases. If you are unable to attend, you will be able to access recordings of the lectures and can apply for a CPD-accredited certificate. Please notify us if you cannot attend.

9. Push Notifications

The App may send push notifications for membership reminders, new content alerts, event announcements, forum activity, and case response updates. You can manage your notification preferences within the App settings at any time.

10. Webinar Library and CPD

The App provides access to educational webinar content with CPD certificate generation. Completion of a webinar and generation of a CPD certificate does not guarantee acceptance of CPD credits by any external accrediting body. It is your responsibility to verify CPD requirements with your relevant professional body.

11. Your Privacy and Personal Information

Your privacy is important to us. Any personal information that you provide through the App will be dealt with in line with our Privacy Policy, available at [Privacy Policy URL]. This explains what personal information we collect, how and why we collect, store, use, and share it, your rights in relation to your personal information, and how to contact us if you have a query or complaint.

Clinical images and case data submitted through the App are handled with particular care and stored securely in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

12. Intellectual Property

The intellectual property rights in the App, and in any text, images, video, audio, or other content accessible through the App (Content), are owned by us and our licensors.

Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights in the App or its Content other than as necessary to use it in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Content without our prior written permission.

CMAC, CMA Collaborative UK Limited, and our logo are our trademarks. Use of any trademarks displayed in the App is strictly prohibited without our prior written permission.

13. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services including, but not limited to, video hosting, payment processing, translation, and communication services. Your use of these services may be subject to their own terms and conditions. We accept no responsibility for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services.

14. Accuracy and Availability

We try to make sure that the App is accurate, up to date, and free from bugs, but we cannot guarantee this. We may suspend or terminate operation of the App at any time for maintenance, updates, or any other reason.

Any Content is provided for your general information purposes only. It does not constitute medical, financial, or legal advice and should not be relied on for any such purposes. You should always use your own independent professional judgment.

15. Limitation of Liability

Except for any legal responsibility that we cannot exclude in law (such as for death or personal injury, or arising under applicable laws relating to the protection of your personal information), we are not legally responsible for any:

(a) losses that were not foreseeable to you and us when these Terms were formed

(b) losses that were not caused by any breach on our part

(c) business losses

(d) losses to non-consumers

We are not responsible for any clinical outcomes arising from the use of information or support provided through the App. Clinical decisions remain the sole responsibility of the treating practitioner.

16. Events Beyond Our Control

We are not liable to you if we fail to comply with these Terms because of circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to strikes, lock-outs, breakdown of systems or network access, flood, fire, explosion, or accident.

17. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms from time to time. Where we make material changes, we will notify you through the App. By continuing to use the App following such changes, you agree to be bound by the updated Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.

18. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, or for any other reason at our discretion. On termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately. You may request a copy of your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

19. Disputes

We will try to resolve any disputes with you quickly and efficiently. If you are unhappy with any aspect of the App, please contact us as soon as possible using the details set out in section 2.

The laws of England and Wales apply to these Terms. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any dispute arising under these Terms.

20. General

No one other than a party to these Terms has any right to enforce any of these Terms.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
